WINTER CIRCLE DANCE with Tarleton Brooks – Sat, Jan 30, 2016, 4-6:30p

The Circle is probably the oldest known dance formation on earth. In traditional societies, people used music and dance to experience the sacred.
They brought the rhythms of the natural world into their bodies, hearts and minds
and brought them to life in dance.
Sacred Circle Dance rediscovers these ancient dance traditions, bringing us together to share life and encounter the sacred through movement

Tarleton is known across the country as a sacred circle dance leader. We are bringing her from North Carolina for this special event.

We will gather at 4:00 and dance from 4:30 to 6:30, ending in a candlelight dance.

Come join us ~ Beginners are welcome

Beginning Saturday, January 9, 3:00 PM, for four weeks, at UU Westside Cong 1650 Abrazo Rd RR

Led by Reverend Julia Fankuchen

This is a covenanted group. Our conversations, which may be quite personal, are to be kept confidential, and attendance at all sessions is expected. Though Rev. Julia has led groups for several hospice organizations, you do not have to have had a recent bereavement to find this helpful and healing.

Our faith tradition encourages us to lead examined lives, which includes facing the pain we each carry with courage and open hearts. We will bear witness to each other’s stories, as we discover anew how to weave our losses into a larger, more hopeful narrative.

The group will be limited to a maximum of eight people. If you have already spoken informally with Rev. Julia about this, please contact her right away to confirm your participation. To find out more about the nature of the group and to sign up, contact Rev. Julia in person or at:
