Community Care Committee

This hands-on committee looks after the needs of the congregation during Services, social functions, providing support to individuals and for everyone in Social functions.

The Community Care Committee administers the Peace River installation at UUWC. You may find information here

 

One important function is providing Greeters for the Sunday Programs.

TO ALL OUR SUNDAY’S SOCIAL GATHERINGS’ VOLUNTEERS

 

• We are grateful to see that the number of friends joining us for our Sunday’s Social gatherings have more then doubled !

 

• Thanks to our kitchen and set-up teams for embracing our growth, adapting, taking responsibility, reorganizing, making suggestions and changes, as necessary.

 

• Since our group has grown, we are using our space more efficiently. Also, we purchased new tables and chairs. Thanks to our congregation leadership for providing the funds!

 

• We are grateful for our set-up team; they come early every Sunday, to set up the tables and chairs for our social gathering – and then, put them away when we are finished !

 

• We are grateful for our kitchen team that works so hard every Sunday to coordinate our social gathering, serve our food and maintains our kitchen clean and organized.

 

• Obviously, we do not have a commercial kitchen, space or staff… so we can’t wash everyones’ dishes and cups every Sunday. Thanks to our kitchen team for providing and – paying forEco-Friendly, compostable, paper plates and cups for all of us!

 

• Best of all…the food! We are very grateful for our kitchen team and other friends, who bring food on Sundays. Thanks to everyone of them for supporting our Social Gatherings!!!

 

• We are grateful for suggestions to improve our gatherings. Although we can not please everyone, we do try… Please talk to Karen or Grace if you have any suggestions.
