Annual Town Hall Jan 17, 2021

  1. Treasurer Report- There was a loss in rental, gift tree, basket,  and fundraising. It is difficult to plan for 2021 because of economic uncertainty. The budget is based on a normal year, but we are definitely falling short ($12, 150 shortfall). This includes all of the current pledges. Michelle proposes to push the budget to March
    1. Pledges received 26 out of 37 pledge families.
    2. Giving Tree: We will a 
    3. Bake Sale: Was a success. Over 47 dozen cookies were made. 
    4. Vote: We will postpone the ratification of the budget until March. 
  2. Vote to affirm the Endowment committee member. It is a 3 person board. 
    1. Jan Walters and Elizabeth Clark are current members.
    2. Vote: Judy Deutsch is nominated and voted in for the 
  3. Vote: Dana Sanford is now an official Board member.
  4. Congregation Safety: Matt Eldringhoff
    1. General briefing that everyone should have a flashlight available.
    2. Matt has been checking the building and area for safety
    3. Thank you for your expertise at keeping our congregation safe.
  5. Living By Heart 
    1. 2nd and 4th Fridays beginning on the 22nd of January.
  6. Facebook- Thanks to Rick for keeping everything up to date. Please send information to Rick. 
  7. Nancy’s Retirement Announcement- She will be retiring in 1 year. We will need to start making a long-term choice within the next year. Feb 2022. She proposes to serve for up to 2 years after her retirement with the caveat that her paycheck will be banked to be used for the search committee and the future of the church. 
    1. The search is very expensive and a long term commitment
  8. Thank you to Carole for videotaping and processing the weekly service.
  9. The program committee is always looking for more people to participate in the service.
  10. Little Free Library will a finished later this week.
