Rev. Carole and Donna led us in a service that celebrates the Solstice. Watch to learn and to explore!
In this service we explored the mystery of the ancient celebration of Samhain, a festival that marked the end of harvest and the entrance into the dark time of year, a time of both death and rebirth. Members were invited to bring photos or mementos of loved ones who have died .
Carole Eagleheart and Donna Johnston will help us become more aware of the gifts of the earth in a program called The Bounty of Summer. They’ll tell us about ancient festivals around the Northern Hemisphere celebrating the first fruits of the harvest. We will explore how these celebrations can enrich our lives.
We talk about the elephant in the room that holds us all together. In our pursuit of congregational growth, this is very important for us to pursue together.
