April 2021

  • Juneteenth booth at an event in ABQ.
    • More information is needed before this is planned out for the SJC to be a part of everyone on the committee who is willing to pending more information.
  • Rio Rancho Snack Pack/ Feed the Kids.
    • About half a dozen individuals have volunteered from the congregation to work with this program. Sherry Nofke has volunteered to help set up and organize.
  • Sherry and Rev. Nancy met with Karen and Kitty from the existing program, and there has been a redefinition of what UUWC’s role would be. There would not be a full turnover of the program but a partnership with an already existing group.  When UUWC opens up for in-person services Karen would be willing to speak on this program, and pictures will be taken for multimedia experience.
  • PRIDE
    • Looking into what PRIDE looks like this year.
  • Little Library
  • Schools are still in too much chaos for this program to happen at the moment. The school contact point has been in communication.
  • Other ideas are that the UUWC could work with the city and host libraries in the park.
  • We need a few assembled and possibly will have an onsite “class” on building in the summer.
