Minister’s Report

Heard and accepted

Very busy month- Checked in with office manager about heating, building, etc. We keep track of the hours and type of work so we will have a better idea of what we must offer a future minister.

Preached 4 out of 6 Sundays. Daily meditations were recorded and uploaded to our website and Facebook. People expressed gratitude for the meditations and contact. Plus the Christmas Eve service.

Pastoral care- Helped plan memorial services for bereaved families. Still meeting with members.

Farm to table food network for our members. Connected with members during the cookie delivery.

Treasurer’s Report

Michelle Martin and Dave will determine the official transition date.

Strengthening Our Community

Filming- all of the equipment has been received and Steve will help with filming. A dry run using the new microphone will be used. Training will be offered for members who want to join the film crew.

Living by Heart- Starts in January. Meetings will be on the second and fourth Fridays and will meet on Zoom through June, 6-7:30 pm. Living by Heart materials are available free for an email document or $10 for a printed copy. Annual Meeting for January

Nominating slate: Endowment Committee, Committee on Ministry position each needs a single member.

Budget will be voted on. Dave and Michelle Martin will present the budget.

Nancy’s retirement announcement

Ministers Concerns

Contract for 2021- Nancy must have an updated contract to continue her service. Her contract stipulates that she will preach twice a month. At this time, she is preaching 3, 4, or more times. The pastoral care has increased during Covid. Her contract will be updated to reflect this change.

Nancy will retire at the end of next year. She would like to continue for another 2 years with the caveat that her salary will be banked for the future minister search.

Annual vacation days will be used between the 31^st of January – 14 February. Steve will take over as the Uploader of Videos. Steve and Jay will host the board and Sunday Service planning committee. David will host Sunday Morning classes. January 31^st will be hosted, filmed, and uploaded by Donna and Carole. Steve will record with Julia on the 7^th and 14^th.

8^th Principle proposal- very controversial. Denomination requests that we study the background and information about the proposed 8^th principle.
